MPA to the Rescue - 3 Colours Painting

After being a successful contestant on Channel Nine Network’s hit show, Celebrity Apprentice 2013, owner of Sweaty Betty PR, Roxy Jacenko, contacted MPA Member, 3 Colours Painting Services, for some assistance. The contestants had a task - to makeover Don Bosco House in Marrickville, a house where kids in crisis, aged 12 to 18, were provided short-term accommodation & support within a safe environment. It accomodates up to 20 kids at any one time,  and as it is run by a charity, it has very little finances to work with.

Two painters were required to be onsite to paint the house between 11.30am and 7.30pm, whilst being filmed for the show. MPA member, 3 Colours, were more than happy to donate the time of two of their painters. Other celebrities who assisted include boxer Jeff Fenech (pictured with Marek from 3 Colours), singer & dancer Timomatic, TV entertainer Patti Newton, sportsman Warwick Capper & Olympic athlete, John Steffensen (all pictured right).

Roxy was assigned to mentor a young single mum, who was 18 years old with a 6 month old child. This young lady is studying at school and taking her baby with her. 3 Colours presented a cheque of $2,000 to the young lady Roxy was mentoring .This was filmed to feature in the final episode which was aired in June 2013.  This money went towards supporting her, long after filming the show concluded.
